EURO II 4DW

The EURO II 4DW series includes 5 compact diesel engines produced by FAW Jiefang Wuxi Diesel Engine Works for industrial and commercial use. Water cooled, direct injection engines with different power ranges, each variant is designed for specific torque and power requirements and meet European emission standards.

Technical Architecture

Core Design Philosophy 4DW series uses 4-cylinder in-line design to balance power and economy. Each engine has direct injection for precise fuel delivery and combustion. Water cooling system keeps the engine temperature stable under different loads, extends engine life and reduces maintenance.

Advanced Air Intake Systems The series has two air intake technologies. Base models (4DW82-62 and 4DW92-73) have turbocharging for higher power density, while premium models (4DW83-73, 4DW93-80 and 4DW93-84) have turbocharged intercooling system. Intercooled models have better performance in heavy duty applications by reducing intake air temperature and increasing air density for better combustion.

Performance Characteristics

Fuel Efficiency Standards All variants achieve 225g/kWh under rated condition due to well designed combustion chamber and accurate fuel injection timing. The engines reach peak efficiency at 17.5:1 compression ratio, ensures complete fuel combustion and low emissions.Operational Reliability Standard firing order (1-3-4-2) and anticlockwise crankshaft rotation makes integration and maintenance easier. Average piston speed is 9.33-10.67m/s, a conservative design for long engine life.
