The J6F is FAW Jiefang’s latest generation of medium-duty commercial vehicles, designed for construction sites, mining operations and heavy-duty cargo transport. This 4×2 configuration combines practicality with proven mechanical reliability, it’s the backbone of many commercial fleets in harsh working environments.

Powertrain

At the heart of this truck is the Xichai CA6DM2-42E66 diesel engine, a 420 horsepower powerplant with excellent torque for loaded operation. This 11-liter inline-six has been proven through millions of service hours in tough conditions. It meets China VI emission standards and still has the fuel efficiency operators demand. Paired with the FAW CA12TAX230M3 transmission, drivers get smooth power across all twelve forward gears, with gear ratios for both highway cruising and low-speed operation at site.

Chassis and Suspension

The robust chassis has high-strength steel rails to withstand sustained loads without fatigue. The front axle has a 7,500 kg capacity, the rear axle has 13,000 kg – specifications that reflect real world requirements not theoretical limits. The suspension uses proven leaf spring technology, with predictable handling and maintenance that any competent technician can do.

Operator Cab
